  • Abstract
    TD-SCDMA indoor coverage is very poor and it is a big issue that needed to be resolved. Femtocell is a good solution to boost the indoor coverage. Femtocell is a very small base station which is deployed in homes or enterprises. Femtocell must have the self-configuration function and be plug-and-play, and most of them work in CSG mode. So femtocell downlink coverage and interference to the neighbouring macrocell caused by femtocell should be studied clearly. This paper focuses on the downlink coverage of femtocell working in the CSG mode and the interference to macrocell. A femtocell power control scheme is proposed, which can automatically adjust the transmission power, according to the macrocell dead spots and femtocell downlink coverage. The simulations show that it is useful to deploy TD-SCDMA Femtocell network.
