Abstract
This letter investigates the performance of multi-hop amplify-and-forward (AF) wireless relaying systems over interference-limited Rayleigh fading channels where both the relays and the destination subjected to multiple co-channel interferences. The application of the harmonic mean of the minimum of the first M (0 ≤ M ≤ N) hop signal-to-interferences (SIRs) and the minimum of the remaining N-M hop SIRs make us get a closed-form expression of outage probability. Based on the approximate expression, we optimize the outage probability from three aspects. Monte-Carlo simulation results confirm our analysis and illustrate that the proposed power allocation, relay placement selection and the joint optimization schemes lead to the improvement of the system performance.
