Abstract
It is widely known that the ferroelectric phase transition from tetragonal to cubic phase in BaTiO3 ceramics and powders is strongly suppressed compared with the crystals. In our study the features of this transition were investigated by low-frequency Raman scattering and second harmonic generation (SHG) techniques. The obtained results of Raman and SHG experiments are interpreted as a relaxor-like behavior of BaTiO3 pressed powder.
