Abstract
A novel optical sensor based on embedded microring is presented. The theoretical analysis of embedded microring has been obtained by transfer matrix method (TMM). The simulation results show that the resonator frequency will be spaced narrow enough to produce coherent signal by a broad laser signal which show this structure can be applied in frequency beat system as an optical sensor. Furthermore, the simulation results also show the position of two embedded microring has little influence of the resonator frequency.
