Abstract :
Three-dimensional reconstruction of points cloud is very important in reverse engineering, virtual reality, etc. The commonly used algorithm is based on convex hull. But it causes distortion in direct triangulation region. To tackle this problem, the improved BPA is introduced and it avoids the normal vectors´ input and the easily emerged holes for the points cloud with uneven density in the original BPA algorithm. Also, usually only the shape reconstruction of the surface can not perform the color details of the surface. So another important improvement in this paper is to add the color information of each point in the process of the shape reconstruction. In this way, the color of the surface can be obtained by reconstructing each triangle´s surface color with interpolation method. At last, to meet the clients´ needs, we display the reconstruction result on the web with high interactivity. The experimental results show that the comprehensive reconstruction of the surface has achieved a satisfactory effect.
