Abstract :
H.264/MVC is the latest video standard for three-dimensional video compression. Similar to H.264/AVC, H.264/MVC carries out the compression for multi-view image system to achieve the more compression efficiency. This paper focuses on the inter-view redundancy reduction in disparity prediction. For disparity estimation, this paper produces a more accuracy disparity vector predictor and narrows down the search region of disparity estimation according to the camera geometry. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can reduce 70~80% of the computational time, while maintaining high RD performance.
