Abstract
Double binary convolutional turbo code has been adopted by 802.16m as the channel coding scheme. To decrease the decoding complexity while maintain better decoding performance, this paper proposes a decoding scheme in which a pre-processing module is inserted before the decoder. In addition, exponential computation in this module is replaced by linear approximation, and detailed steps of the processing are also described. By simulation, our proposed decoding scheme gets almost the same decoding performance compared to classical maximum a posteriori probability algorithm.
