Abstract :
Cooperative communication enables single antenna systems in a multiuser environment to share their antennas and generate a virtual MIMO transmitter that allows them to achieve transmit diversity. Decode and forward full duplex based relay system is considered. The outage probability expressions are derived for full duplex based virtual MIMO relay system with Alamouti space time coding applied in an opportunistic way. The Outage Probability expressions are also derived for full duplex based relay systems with many antennas at the source destination and relay, orthogonal space time coding is applied at the source and relay. Maximum Ratio combining is employed at the relay and destination for receiving the signal. The simulated results show that the performance of OSTBC MIMO Relay systems outperforms the virtual MIMO systems with Distributed Space time coding.
