Abstract :
An efficient Maximum power point tracking is achieved by designing an real time control for hybrid power system. The maximum power point (MPP) is extracted from the renewable source i.e., solar and wind energy. The MPP depends on irradiance conditions, temperature for solar and wind speed ratio for wind energy. The characteristic output power is determined for solar and wind energy. The MPPT is obtained by using an MPPT algorithm for the input source. In this paper perturbation and observation is implemented. The operation of the proposed system is explained. The control circuit for the hybrid power system is realized by using microcontroller or FPGA (Field programmable gate array).
