Abstract :
Mobility self-optimization is quite important for LTE networks, which depends on Mobility Robustness Optimization (MRO) and Mobility Load Balancing (MLB). The key performances of mobility, such as handover failure ratio, handover ping-pong ratio, and call-drop ratio are controlled by configurable cell parameters (TTT, Hyst and Ocs). In this paper, a control-theory based approach for tuning the cell parameters is proposed. MRO and MLB functions are jointly optimized in terms of control channels and their negative interaction is eliminated by the introduction of cross-links. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms existing approaches.
