Abstract :
The conventional adaptive beamforming will lead to a severe distortion of monopulse ratio curve in the presence of mainlobe jamming(MLJ), which results in a failure of angle estimation and tacking of a target. This paper presents an constrained adaptive sum-difference monopulse algorithm based on penalty function. This adaptive algorithm can not only suppress the MLJ while maintaining monopulse ratio undistorted, but also lower the sidelobe levels of adaptive pattern. Especially, the sidelobe of difference beam can be suppressed very well.
