Abstract :
Energy feedback device is proved useful in Cascaded H-bridge (CHB) multilevel converter for reducing total harmonic distortion (THD) and voltage change rates. Based on this concept, lots of electric devices in novel structure can be used in the PMSM drives to divide energy flow. This paper presents 3 energy feedback transformer models to the CHB multilevel converter in PMSM drive system. By theoretical analysis, calculation and comparative analysis, the operation principle of them are proposed. The modulation control method and transformers reality design are also involved.
