  • Abstract
Heterogeneous network (HetNet) has been discussed earlier in LTE system. But recently, there also exist some studies concerning the standardization of HSPA HetNet. Interference coordination is still a critical topic in HSPA HetNet. Considering the network architecture of HSPA HetNet, in this paper, we develop a distributed interference coordination (DIC) scheme which involves power allocation and scheduling to reduce the negative effect of interference in the downlink co-channel HSPA HetNet. Our DIC scheme is modeled as an energy-efficient non-cooperative game with QoS constraint (EENGQ). We first reveal the existence and uniqueness of the equilibrium for this game. Then, a closed-form best response of this game is derived. Finally, a feasible implementation is proposed to achieve our DIC scheme in practice. Simulation results show the notable advantages of our proposed scheme which can remarkably mitigate the interference and enhance the energy efficiency.
