Abstract :
A linearly polarized Q-switching large-mode-area photonic crystal fiber laser at 978 nm is demonstrated. Short pulse of 14 ns duration is achieved with 36 dB polarization extinction ratio at 10 kHz repetition rate and 2 W output power.
