Abstract
We demonstrate frequency noise suppression of a widely tunable sampled-grating DBR laser using negative feedback from a Mach-Zehnder frequency discriminator integrated on the same InGaAsP/InP chip. The 3-dB laser linewidth is narrowed from 19 MHz to 570 kHz.
