Abstract :
We report observation of thresholdless carrier multiplication in a monolayer graphene, where the carrier multiplication is driven by hot-carrier thermalization process. By utilizing ultrafast optical-pump and terahertz-probe spectroscopy, we directly demonstrate the quantitative carrier-multiplication efficiency.
