Abstract :
This paper presents a remote heart sound monitoring system which is based on LZSS lossless compression algorithm. This system consists of the client, mobile phone and the remote monitoring center. Firstly, the heart sounds collected by client are filtered and compressed in real-time, then the processed data is transmitted into the mobile phone via Bluetooth. Finally, by network, the processed data is transmitted from mobile phone to remote monitoring center, which is responsible for decompression and management of the transmitted data and even the display of the phonocardiogram accordingly. The system is a better assistant to health care workers, for it reduces the workload of nursing workers effectively.
