  • Abstract
This paper present the study an improved maximum power point (MPP) of photovoltaic cells (PV Cells) with buck converter by using passive inductor and capacitor for comparative continuous conduction mode (CCM) and discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). In the study improved maximum power point addition using inductor or capacitor output of PV Cells connected buck converter in both modes, a buck converter operate in switching frequency 20 kHz. Experimental results show that the improved implementation MPP using series inductor output of PV Cells are increase 15%, 42% and 14%, 40% in the CCM and DCM. And while the improved by using shunt capacitor of PV Cells MPP are increase 18%, 41% and 25%, 41% in the CCM and DCM, respectively.
