Abstract
After electricity market reform, the transmission grid planning process will introduce many uncertainty and complexity factors. This paper presents the status of transmission planning in recent years and it discusses some new problems resulting from the development of electricity market. The paper summarizes the model of transmission planning from various angles, by which analyzes the uncertainty under the electricity market environment. Then it deeply researches many transmission planning methods which reduces the difficulty of modeling of uncertainty, moreover these methods are quite important to reliable transmission of the power. After that, the paper presents us some different algorithms for the modeling of transmission planning. Finally, the paper prospects the future trends of transmission planning for us.
