Abstract :
Limit induced bifurcation (LIB) of power system is usually caused by reactive power output of generators exceeds the limit. According to this feature, a fast calculation method for voltage stability load margin of limit induced bifurcation is presented. The algorithm establishes the load margin solving model of limit induced bifurcation for power system voltage stability; considering the constraints of the reactive power output of generators, the load increment step can be determined based on local curve fitting technology; then, combined with step binary search method, it is easy to find the limit induced bifurcation point of power system. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through IEEE-118 bus systems.
