Abstract :
Target the online size measurement of ceramic tile, author came up with a new online measuring method towards image fast sub-pixel edge. First, using the standard Sobel operator to rough locate the edge point. Make sure the sub-pixel location and the direction of the edge. Then expend the pixel along the edge direction of the edge point in order to get more accurate location of the edge. Experiment shows that this method can increase the accuracy of edge measurement. Error of the linear portion measurement is less than 0.04mm.
