Doubly Salient Permanent Magnet Motor Development Review

The research of doubly salient permanent magnet motor (DSPM), arises as the emergence of a novel type mechatronic control of AC drive system. Currently, on the international realm, the studies regarding on this kind of motor mainly focus on calculation parameters, modeling, analytical methods, control strategies and other basic theoretical aspects. This paper started with the fundamental working principle and typical characteristics. Additionally, outlined the development and research. At the same time listed some characteristic parameters of this kind motor. Ultimately, this paper discussed the comparison between other kind of motors on aspects of features and application prospects.
