Abstract
This study demonstrates a novel fluid energy driven piezoelectric generator with simple structure for generating the electrical power from fluid energy, such as wind energy or water energy. The key components generating the electrical energy in the fluid energy driven generator are series of fixed-fixed piezoelectric composite beam. Potentially, because all the fixed-fixed piezoelectric composite beams in one generator are in phase with each other, the output voltage of the generator can be magnified. The distributed electromechanical model of the generator is derived and the steady state response is obtained. The theoretical results are compared with the FEA simulation results, both agree well with each other.
