Abstract :
Effect of external electric field on the properties of Rayleigh wave propagation in YZ-LiNbO3 is analyzed theoretically. Second-order material constants are altered by the biasing electric field and third-order material constants can´t be neglected. It is found that the fractional change of phase velocity caused by electric field in present contribution coincide with the previous experimental results perfectly. Conclusions in this paper are very useful for improving the performance of surface acoustic wave devices.
