Abstract :
Given the complexity of cloud computing, and the multitude of stakeholders (individual users, private as well as public entities), consumers of cloud computing services, who are often in a much disadvantaged position, need to be assured that there is the least amount of uncertainty in the provider-consumer relationship. The intention here is to argue that legal entities, private or even public, under certain circumstances, can also belong to the category of consumer. As a case study, we look at some specific clauses of Google´s widely-used cloud-based Agreements in Brazil, and in particular, those clauses which pertain to Brazilian´s Consumer Protection Code.
