Abstract
In this paper, we described the properties of the modified pseudo-ternary M-sequence (MPTM) pair, which consists of the MPTM and {-1, 1}-valued M-sequence, such as the generating MPTM pair, the orthogonality, the expansion of MPTM, the cross-correlation, and the S-curve characteristic. MPTM is a PN code which combines the {0, 1}-valued M-sequence with the Hadamard code. The S-curve characteristic is the same as that of the conventional direct sequence spread-spectrum (DS/SS) system using M-sequence. Thus, the tracking system with MPTM pair can use that of DS/SS system.
