Abstract :
A detailed investigation of the effect of lens parameters on the focusing performance of plasmonic lens is presented. The lens parameters considered are permittivity of the dielectric, operating wavelength of the light, size and thickness of the lens. The lens examined is constructed with metallic nanoslit array with variable widths. Guidelines for lens design is provided and it is shown how actual lens behaviour deviates from this simple theory. The results indicate that the lens parameters have a great influence on the focal length of lens.
