Abstract
Cloud computing is the key for Big Data analytics. Apache Hadoop makes it feasible to process the immense data set. An experimental environment with flexibility is required to do education and research with Big Data. However, this solution brings with the challenges that are how to manage large number of computers in the Hadoop cluster, and how to reuse the idle computer resources. In this paper, we propose the classroom cloud infrastructure to overcome the challenges. With this infrastructure, we can reuse the idle computer resources in the classroom for education and research. The case study of such a classroom cloud implemented in YZU is presented and discussed to help reader who can follow architecture to set up their personal Hadoop experimental environment in the classroom.
