Abstract
This research compares the application of metaheuristics to solve the problem of real-time task assignment in two different heterogeneous multiprocessor systems. The difference in system is made by the arrangement of the processors. The metaheuristics used to solve the problem are Novel Binary Particle Swarm Optimization (Novel BPSO) and Modified Binary Particle Swarm Optimization (Modified BPSO). These analyses are used for computer architecture. The performance is measured in terms of quality of the solution.
