Abstract
A signal-layer radial line slot antenna (RLSA) is designed for receiving direct broadcast from satellites. Subscriber antennas must have high gain characteristics for about 36 to 37dbi. A number of designs have been devised, but all of these designs have pros and cons. This article introduces a new wave medium εr=1.06, arranging the angle and modify configurations of the slot sets to get better performance. And we also show how to design the structure of the antenna. At last some results illustrate, in the 11.65-12.5GHz band, the gain of this design can achieve 31dB, and the return loss is lower than -10dB. In addition, some analysis and conclusions will be proposed in the end.
