Abstract
The distance education system based on the IP over DVB-S, realizes the development of education and resources sharing for distance areas with the support of satellite broadcasting. But the unidirectional characteristic of satellite broadcast limits the mode of distance education, which can´t provide the inter-active applications for users. Considering the demands of distant learning, we put forward a new interactive communication mechanism, which using mobile communication node to storage, carrying and transmitting messages, and con-strutting reverse link based on delay tolerant network technology. Furthermore, the communication protocol model, system entities of network, certification system and realization of basic framework are given. With the advantages of low deploy cost and high equipment utilization rate, the mechanism is suitable for distance education users and has a good application prospect.
