Abstract :
In this paper the innovative fixed-point LTE handover algorithm for the high-speed railway environment is proposed. The handover process effectiveness is researched through the measurement of information gathered by User Equipment (UE), such as the cell Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) and the target cell Block Error Rate (BLER), which are analyzed for different points between the LTE eNodeB and UE. This paper focuses on the fixed-point handover algorithm in the LTE high-speed rail network and compares its performance with the classical A3 event algorithm. We have designed and implemented the algorithm in a dynamic system-level simulator and simulated the mountain and plain environment scenarios. In the LTE simulation platform, we review the packet delay and packet loss rate simulation results and analyze their impact factor. The simulation results show that for the high-speed mobile network in both mountain and plain environment scenarios, the fixed-point handover algorithm performs better than the A3 algorithm.
