Abstract :
Multispectral true color image products of satellites are widely used. Whereas, the images straightly synthesized by the three bands of multispectral data are usually dark and get heavy chromatic aberration, which are not available. Therefore, a brief and efficient method of processing multispectral true color images is needed. A way to solve this problem is proposed in this paper. It combines the band creation based on Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and specular reflection white balance. Different methods are applied to terrain types to generate true color images, according to NDVI, and then color correction is executed. Multispectral data of TH-1 satellite is taken for example to test our method. Results indicate that this method is simple and feasible.
