Abstract :
There are obvious modeling errors in existing external piloting process which is essential to TV tracking system for the target acquisition. With the accurate geometric models and simulations, guideline of piloting process is pointed out and characters of azimuth and pitch piloting models are discussed separately. Especially the insensitivity of piloting errors to target distance error is issued, proved and confirmed with simulation, which is beneficial to the piloting equipments with low distance precision.
