Abstract :
Today residential users often have at their disposal multiple ways for connecting to the Internet, including both wired (ADSL, cable) and cellular (3G, LTE) technologies. However, there are no applications that benefit from the presence of the aggregated capacity across all available access networks. In this paper we demonstrate how the already-paid-for bandwidth available on mobile devices can improve performance of applications on the wired network. the demo will present an over the top (OTT) service for boosting performance for video streaming applications over HTTP.We will show that our solution is effective in reducing both pre-fetching and download time.
