Abstract :
In order to deal with the tracking ambiguity for binary offset carrier (BOC) modulated signals, a new tracking technique is proposed. The idea of the proposed new tracking loop is to combine a single peak correlation function. Through subtracting two cross-correlation, a single positive peak correlation function could be obtained. For different BOC signals, the new proposed method adopts symmetrical equivalent pulse width modulated symbols of the auxiliary signal. The theoretical formulas of the proposed acquisition technique is computed and simulated. The performance results show that the proposed new technique could solve the ambiguity completely, although there is some degradation in acquisition.
