Abstract
Diversity factor of a group of consumers is Known as the sum of the maximum load for each consumer divided by the maximum drawn load in each consumer. The synchronous factor is the reciprocal of the diversity factor. The same definition repeated when dealing with different parts of the distribution system, transformers and feeders. This factor is important for the economic planning of the distribution system. A field survey was conducted (for a year) in three areas in Mosul.
