Abstract :
In this article, an alternative LMI solution for the linear quadratic optimal control design is proposed for discrete-time linear systems in the singular perturbation form. This approach is particularly adapted for the case of high dimension systems. An extension to polytopic uncertain system and an example of practical application to the robust steering control of hot strip mill are also presented.
