Abstract
This paper focuses on two issues: (i) strategies for improving student engagement with and learning of control engineering topics that are traditionally unpopular and (ii) evaluation of those strategies. The paper gives some evidence and background on the selection of strategies followed by details on how these are developed into specific activities.
