Abstract :
We propose to approximate the maximal controlled invariant set contained in a given constraint set for a continuous-time linear system with a controlled safe set, i.e. a set of initial states such that the evolution of the system fulfills the constraints. A procedure is given for the selection of a sampling time and a control law such that, starting from a controlled invariant set for the exponential discretization of the continuous-time system, a controlled safe set for the continuous-time system can be constructed.
