  • Abstract
Problems related to fault isolation in dynamic systems are investigated. The first part of our study concerns the discussion on the existence conditions for a perfect fault isolation and the relationships between the fault isolation and disturbance decoupling problems. The second part is devoted to the presentation of a number of approaches to a (perfect) fault isolation. Finally, a study on the fault isolation schemes using a bank of residual generators is carried out.
