Abstract :
High performance control of fluid actuator system depends on several important choices, like the model on which the synthesis is based and the control criteria. In the case of the optimal LQG control design, the choice of the weighting matrices determines the closed-loop performances and robustness. In the present paper a methodology of LQG synthesis inspired from the literature is applied on an electro-pneumatic actuator, which is known to be hard to control.
