Abstract :
This paper considers methods to control the transmit power of a mobile communications system such that the base station receives the mobile´s signal with a desired power level. Based on first constructing a suitable process model, a range of classical and predictive control schemes for this task are designed and compared in terms of appropriate performance measures.
