  • Abstract
    This paper presents the design of a high gain observer and its application to the diagnostic of a fixed bed anaerobic digestion pilot plant used for the treatment of wine vinasses. Based on a generic validated model of the process recently proposed in the literature (Bernard et al., 1998), it is shown that a number of faults can be detected and isolated. The results obtained in simulation using this strategy are presented and discussed.
