Abstract
It has been demonstrated how non-standard parameterizations can enhance, for example, the identifiability properties of dynamic systems. There is a temptation to extend these ideas of parameter transformations also to other fields of control engineering - however, the theories derived for the standard operators do not necessarily apply to the systems with new operators. This paper presents a solid basis for new parameterizations; the ideas are illustrated using simulations.
