Abstract :
This paper describes a digital implementation of a staircase modulation technique, which eliminates low order harmonics and produces at the same time a high fundamental voltage component using a moderately low switching frequency. It also presents some interesting results from a comparative study between the staircase modulator and the widely known sinusoidal modulator performed on a simulated pwm induction motor drive.
