Abstract :
The development of automated systems requires more and more electrical drives which have a variable speed. Thereby economical aspects are as important as a good dynamical behaviour. In contrast to conventional controlled converter drives the presented control strategy encreases the economy and the safety in operation as sensors for current, voltage and speed are subtituted by a new observer algorithm. This paper shows the design of Binary Observers for a sensorless 4q-dc drive.
