Abstract :
In this paper a nonlinear adaptive feedback-linearizing control is designed for a biological wastewater treatment model. This adaptive control structure consists of a nonlinear controller combined with an estimation algorithm for the on-line estimation of biological states and uncertain parameters of the process. Simulation results with multiplicative measurement noises and parameter jumps are given to demonstrate the effectiveness and the robustness of both the estimation and control methods.
