  • Abstract
This paper presents a methodology for designing controllers that place the roots of the characteristic polynomial of an uncertain system inside a set of circular regions around the nominal roots. A geometric framework is used for the derivation of an accurate search domain for the feasible controllers. Inside the given domain, a genetic algorithm efficiently searches for the most robust controller.
