Abstract :
In this paper the authors show that for sequential processors the usage of lattice structures reduces almost by the factor of two the computational time of the filtering process performed by two-channel orthogonal filter bank with respect to the direct method of calculating the convolution. In addition authors give the derivation and perform the analysis of the lattice factorization of two-channel orthogonal filter banks, which can also be easily extended to more general biorthogonal filter banks´ case.
